Josh Machiz joined Redpoint Ventures in 2021 as a partner. He oversees the firm’s Founder Experience program, comprising its talent, business development, event and content initiatives. Josh advises Redpoint’s portfolio on strategic initiatives like selecting a marketing technology stack, and tactical ones like scaling up a digital brand footprint. For late stage companies, Josh offers unparalleled insight into IPO readiness, strategizing with executive teams on communications planning, exchange selection, and overall execution.
Josh brings decades of expertise in branding, PR, sales and marketing to Redpoint. Most recently, he was the Chief Digital Officer at Nasdaq. He was responsible for pitching startups preparing to IPO and hosting Nasdaq’s premiere video series, Mission Driven. Over 10+ years leading corporate marketing, Josh grew Nasdaq’s digital footprint from 0 to 3.5 million followers. He oversaw all content creation for Nasdaq’s social media channels, along with experiential marketing and activations at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. Josh founded the Nasdaq Executive Network, gathering hundreds of top executives to share insights on the transition from private to public markets. He also co-founded Nasdaq’s LGBT group and was a member of Nasdaq’s steering committee for diversity and inclusion.
Josh holds an undergraduate degree in Microbiology from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration in finance and marketing from Fordham University.
